Realisation program in Mauritius

Dear Family

This is a very interesting write up from Dr. Rai on a Realisation program that took place in Mauritius during July 2014.

Dr. Sandeep Rai visited the country as a delegate on his official capacity. In his words he explains how things just started working out like miracle. It was indeed a very bright news that several local with medical fraternity in Mauritius took their Realization and have expressed their earnest urge to sustain it in their country. So, as a future Realization drive this should be kept in our attention to bring this beautiful country in the Realizetheworld map.

After all Mother does it all. Probably the time for Mauritius has arrived to be enlightened and join the rest of the Realized world.

Programs in Mauritius

Letter from Dr. Sandeep Rai
The island of Mauritius  also known as the ‘paradise island’ or the ‘rainbow island’  has a picturesque landscape  and is located on the rim of the Indian ocean 6500 miles from Indian coastline to the east of African continent. It has a stable democracy, economically thriving with high development index. The populace comprises 52 percent Hindus, 29 percent Christians, 16 percent Muslims and 1 percent Chinese descent. Inspite of a large community of Indian origin people worshipping Shri Shiva and the Shakti (Devi), Sahaja Yoga is yet to find its roots or blossom here.
By the way, for awareness and knowledge regarding the Medical faculty and academy here is a brief introduction. The University of Technology Mauritius and its affiliated Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College is located in the heart of Cybercity at Ebene, Mauritius. The College offers both undergraduate (M.B.B.S) and Post Graduate (MD & MS) courses in the medical field. The courses are accredited by the Tertiary Education Commission of Mauritius (TEC) and the awarding body is the University of Technology Mauritius (UTM).

The Realization drive in Mauritius happened spontaneously. It can be said that it was by sheer Shri Mataji’s blessings that an unexpected opportunity came our way to visit Mauritius as an MD Examiner for Internal Medicine for 3 days in July 2014. Though we had a strong desire to avail the unique opportunity for Self Realization program in Mauritius but we were not able to get any definite Sahaja yogi contact. Although Yogis like Dr & Mrs Govender from South Africa and Mr Williams from Reunion Island (from nearby countries) spontaneously responded and offered their participation in near future provided some Realization drive could be organized in Mauritius. Nevertheless, in that short span of our stay it was practically difficult to assess of foresee any such scope for an immediate ready-made tailored date to organize that kind of schedule in Mauritius.

So just surrendering our pure desire, we left it to be worked out at the Lotus Feet of Shri Mataji. On reaching Mauritius, it was given to understand that the Medical College already had arranged a scientific CME with very distinguished speakers from India and South Africa. Usually the speakers name and schedules are fixed long back and last minute changes are seldom done. Still taking up a chance I approached the authorities in charge for a possible scope for incorporating an additional session, besides their tight schedules to conduct a special scientific session on Sahaja Yoga meditation. To my utter surprise, the Medical College Dean along with the Mauritian Director of the Medical College readily nodded in affirmation. It was clearly understood by then, how Shri Mataji’s working was gradually permeating and Her divine Attention was paving its path effortlessly in navigating its own way forward.

The first Program materialized at the Scientific CME in D. Y Patil Medical College with the Director, Dean, Professors of Medical College, from India and abroad, Post Graduate students and the University Staff attending the scientific presentation on Sahaja Yoga followed by the Realization program.
A distinguished dignitary like Dr. B. Singh from Durban in South Africa who is a Professor and Head of the department of Surgery at the Nelson Mandella Medical School at University of KwaZulu, Natal, Durban, was amongst the august gathering in the audience. He liked the program and concept of Sahaja Yoga very much. Other Distinguished Medical faculty present in audience included the Deans & Medical Superintendents of many prestigious medical institutions, Senior Professors & Heads of Departments from various Medical Colleges in India & abroad.

Several Doctors and Professors working in Mauritius including the Dean & the Vice Dean of the Medical College desired for more sessions on Sahaja Yoga and urged us for establishing regular centre at their Medical College & Medical Hospital for practicing Sahaja Yoga Meditation.

Again, by the blessings of Shri Mataji, the second program materialized on the same day evening at the Hindu House. The President of the Hindu Organization Mr Ram Dhan helped us to organize a Public Program for Sahaja yoga in the Big Hall in Hindu House premises located at Port Louis, in Northern region of Mauritius for the benefit of the local community. An introductory presentation on Sahaja Yoga was followed by the Realization program there.
Hindu House has two big halls where the Mauritians of Indian origins gather for collective celebration of various festivals like Deepawali, Holi etc. It occurred to me at that time, that by Grace of Shri Mataji, there is already a beautiful space available for establishing a Sahaja Yoga meditation centre here and moreover this place could also be used for conducting more Sahaja programs in future. The locals including the President of Hindu Sabha and In charge of Hindu House, were very keen to learn Sahaja Yoga and showed great interest in it.

Interestingly, Mauritius has special mythological and spiritual significances that few of us may be aware. This little Island of Mauritius is a country where it is believed that the 13th Jyotirling of Shri Shiva is located besides the 12 much known that is present in India. This Jyotirlinga is located on banks of a Holy Lake called Ganga Talao. The local Hindu families observe and celebrate Shivaratri and Navaratri as big festivals. They also have keen interest in Indian system of Ayurveda and Yoga. It is felt that Sahaja yogis living around this country with background of Ayurveda may find a unique opportunity to carry forward the mission of Shri Mataji in taking the Realization drive further.

We thank Shri Mataji, again and again, for blessing us to be Her effective instruments in this divine mission in Mauritius. The way, in which the Realization drive materialized in such a short span within a day in Mauritius, it is clearly evident that Divine Attention of Shri Mataji is definitely working on in this beautiful country.

It is a most humble request to all, especially to Yogis of nearby countries, to collectively pray and focus attention for establishing Sahaja Yoga in Mauritius and try to bring this beautiful country on the Divine map.

Nirmal love & Best regards.
Dr.Sandeep Rai (India)
