Vietnam tour ‘A deep silences and realm of meditation was felt’

News from Vietnam tour #2 – 18th July, 2014

Dear Yogis,

Grand Hotel Saigon HCMC

Grand Hotel Saigon HCMC

After returning from the Mekong that evening we met with the local collective at their centre in city for the first National Seminar hosted in Vietnam. With so many foreign Yogis visiting it was a good opportunity to share our experiences and to assist if we could to help develop the Yogis’ understanding of Sahaja Yoga. We covered aspects of clearing the Mooladhara, the use of vibrations and the protocols of Puja. The seminar ended with sharing stories of our times with Shri Mataji.

As Shri Mataji was not able to visit Vietnam there is a feeling that some of the Yogis feel they have missed the chance for Her dharshan. While we all enjoyed reliving the times and experiences with Our Mother, we did try to convey the reality  that Her Nirakara form is no less real than Her Sakara form and is with us all still.

‘The seekers rushed the stage and were experiencing the Joys of dance’
Sunday July 13th was the scheduled day for the major Public Program in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

The day began as we had scheduled for all the days of the Tour with a collective meditation with the local Yogis. We then made our way to the Grand Hotel HCMC to prepare for the public program to start at 9am. The early start for the program was a bit different as we normally host major programs in the evening. But it did not seem to deter the seekers of HCMC, when the program commenced the Ballroom was nearly full. The programs commence with music to help awaken the Kundalini in the fashion with which Our Mother had guided us with the major public programs She Herself attended.

Guru Puja and Program

Guru Puja and Program

The difference in this great country is by the end of the first Bhajan, rather than at the end of the program, the seekers rushed the stage and were experiencing the Joys of dance, the freedom of being able to enjoy the moment, unrestrained  and liberated. The seekers were joining together with the Sahaja Yogis, joining hands, dancing, faces glowing with the love of Our Mother. Midway through the revelry, the music, and the joy, the program was paused and Self-Realisation took place. Everyone took part as they were guided through the awakening of the Kundalini. It is one of the reasons we are drawn back to Vietnam, it is the quality of their people, their openness and their response to the awakening of their Kundalinis. It is also a sacred calling of Our Mother to continue on with Her work and to visit the countries that She was not able to visit.  It is five years since we started this work. The rewards in the love received and the feeling of Our Mother’s presence and Her hand guiding us every step of the way is the force inspiring our ongoing commitment.

‘Major Puja hosted in this country of an International nature.’
The vibrations had been building all day as we began to prepare for hosting Shri Guru Puja at the HCMC Ashram. As a young collective it was clear that this would be the major Puja hosted in this country of an International nature.

There was representation from Yogis from around the world. It felt like a milestone for the development of Sahaja Yoga and the depth of experience for the local Yogis. During the day, visiting yogis and the local collective were visiting the local markets to purchase the auspicious items to follow the protocols pleasing to the Divine and to worship Our Mother as Our Guru. The vibrations were building as it felt that the preparations for Puja were the commencement of our offering to Our Guru. During the preparations, the feeling came to find a big rod to offer to Our Guru. Despite the search no rod could be found, but passing a sugar cane stall it seemed sections of a ‘sweet’ rod would suffice.

We all gathered in the early evening on the top floor of the building which serves as the Ashram. It is a beautiful space open at the sides to the elements, the open air flowing through the room. Shortly after starting the heavens opened, thunderous rain showered down throughout the Puja.  The Puja talk played was Sudhi Camps Guru Puja in 1987 where Shri Mataji had spoken of the form of the Devi, the long beard and robes, and how the Guru traditionally was offered the long rod. Which brought to mind the search in the afternoon for just such an offering.  The Puja had the beautiful declaration by Our Mother that this house, this land of England, this world and universe belongs to Shri Mataji.

‘It was a milestone in the development of Sahaja Yoga to host the most significant Puja’
The Puja commenced with the welcome invitation from Giang (the National Coordinator) who spoke beautifully of the coming together of so many people from many countries for the first time in Vietnam. It was a milestone in the development of Sahaja Yoga to host the most significant Puja yet to be offered to Our Mother. That a collective effort with the arrangements and offerings were so collectively and sweetly made.

On behalf of the Westerners present, many from Australia, a prayer was offered that we had once come as part of the American war waged upon this land, and as witnesses to those events of the past waged against the good people of Vietnam.  That we were sorry for these events. Before the Altar of Our Mother we asked for Her forgiveness. That to this beautiful bhoomi Devi of Vietnam ravaged by war and poisoned by these forces.  That we were sorry and asked for forgiveness. But on this day we now came in the name of the Our Mother and for the spirit and we would commit to do all
we could to support the work of Our Mother.

The Puja was of a significance many felt was part of the reason Shri Mataji’s formless power had lead us here. The vibrations continued to build throughout. We had announced that on this day Our Mother had arrived in this land to receive our offering, on this day we declared Our Mother as the Devi who reigns as sovereign in the land of Vietnam and on this day we named Shri Mataji as Supreme.

‘A deep silences and realm of meditation was felt’
During the Devi Puja, the ladies decorating Shri Mataji’s Feet, said they felt Shri Mataji’s formless feet before them which they were anointing with perfume and Her image upon Her chair seemed to take on an extra dimension. It felt that Her formless presence had descended to Her Ashram and She was enjoying the earnest and heartfelt expression of devotion from Her children. A deep silences and realm of meditation was felt as we were all lifted collectively to the silent reverie of the awakened spirit.

The Puja ended with collective bhajans one verse sang in Vietnamese and answered in English, a coming together of our two worlds united in devotion and worship. Many of the collective who had not had a chance to be with Shri Mataji, or visit Cabella said they now had an experience of the deeper levels of joy and felt the love of Our Mother they had long desired, but rarely felt before this occasion. Something had been established though this Puja for the collective and for Vietnam which will assist the further establishment of Sahaja Yoga in this land. We all felt privileged to have been a part of.

Jai Shri Mataji!

With love, the touring yogis in Vietnam
